Barbera d'Asti DOC 2007 "Bricco Della Bigotta" - Braida di Giacomo Bologna

I went to Braida Wineyard, Ann was welcome us to come, she is a funny lady, she introduce us their wineyard, her husband Giacomo left this world too soon. Today the Braida tradition is being carried on by his wife and two children. Anna, Raffaella and Beppe Bologna make some of the most highly regarded Barberas in Italy at their ultramodern facility near Asti. These are big, bold and silky Barberas at their finest.

When Anna told us this history, she was crying, so touching, maybe some reason, make their wine also are smooth and have many feeling inside.

Grapes: 100% Grignolino. Tasting note: light ruby red colour, there are aromas of violet (flower), black berries and on the palate good acidity. It tastes a little bit spicy, then smooth at the end. Light bodied, easy to food match with bread and roast meat.

This's my first time to Italy, which is the most favorite country for me, I was here! I can't write how i'm so excitin' about this, but I will remeber this trip in my whole life. 5 days trip brought me a lot of wine knowledge, practice and to open wide my vision. To enrich our experience in life, travel is the most suitable way.

Actually, before i went this trip, I also workin' in wine field and focus on the Italian wine. I knew a lot of Italian wine, but I never been there. Now I can do it. Enjoy wine is a interesting things because they have different character of each wine. Some is naught (spicy), some is smooth, some is mature and some is light bodied such like a person.

I'm writing this blog, it is because I would like to share the tasting note, welcome to discuss and introduce with wine's lovers.

WINES - I luv' it!
